Moments of the Week – 7/27/25

Finding meaning in the in-between.

In a world that moves so quickly, I’m making it a habit to slow down and notice the little things. This weekly recap is my way of staying present and finding meaning in the in-between (hence the tag-line).

📖 What I’m Reading

It’s summertime, which means allllll the cheesy romances. I just finished Christina Lauren’s The Paradise Problem and absolutely loved it. I usually struggle with this genre, but this one was such a fun, light read. It is perfect if you’re looking for something light and funny.

I’m usually reading one fiction and one non-fiction book at a time. The non-fiction one is a bit out there for me but I started it to try and better my history skills. It’s called Differ We Must by Steve Inskeep, and I’m almost to the end. To say I’m enjoying it would be a stretch… but I do feel smart.

🍓 In the Kitchen

I have been cheffing it up lately…

🎨 Hobbies

I’m always working on a cross stitch project, right now it’s a Boston-themed one. I love that city and really hope to do my residency there one day, so this one feels extra special.

This week was also Lilli’s birthday (my brother’s girlfriend), so I was busy prepping for her dinner. I loved getting to make all the decorations:)

✨ A Thought or Quote That Stayed With Me

Someone I deeply admire shared this with me, and I’ve read it every day since. It became the spark behind this blog.

🌿 Noticing

Lately, I’ve been loving evening nature walks to help regulate my nervous system… just me, myself, and I, with no music or podcasts. I’ve made it a little game to spot as many beautiful things as I can and I had to share this one from the week. I’ve truly never seen anything like it.

🌕 This Week’s Energy

Gratitude

I was feeling especially grateful this week. I feel so lucky to have such incredible family and friends around me. I’m also really thankful for the slower season of life I’m in. It’s giving me space to focus on myself and be more present.

🕊️ One Thing I Want to Remember

My best friends came over for dinner one night, and I got to cook for them and just hang out. It was the best evening with so many good laughs. We looked through old photos and videos from our middle school days (painful, to say the least), but we were laughing so hard. I love them so much.

Thanks for slowing down with me...

XO,

Grace♡
